Plenty of useful public data sits behind ArcGIS REST endpoints and open data portals where most people will never find it. These maps put that data in front of people who need it.
Each tool is a Leaflet map that runs entirely in the browser. It reads from the original public service or from a prepared GeoJSON file, adds search and filters for the attributes people care about, and is published as a page on mapscaping.com. Where a dataset covers a whole country, the map is split into a hub page and a page per state or category, so each one can be found in search.
The work is mostly data work: finding reliable sources, checking and cleaning attributes, choosing sensible defaults, and keeping the maps working when the source services change.
